The Global Technical Solutions - Production Test Engineering team is seeking to fill an Electrical Engineer II to join our team. The primary responsibility for this position is to develop and sustain manufacturing and service test equipment within manufacturing operations. The engineer who fills this position must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for both hardware and software. This position will utilize software and hardware skills to debug, repair, and update multi-rack test stations deployed in production. These test stations include but are not limited by the following COTs equipment: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMM's, logic analyzers, fiber optic measuring devices, optical measuring devices, power supplies and electronic loads. This position also requires the devlopment support of ESS and vibration test equipment and software suites. What You Will Do You will be reverse engineering existing equipment (i.e. documenting something that is already built) You will work unsupervised, multitask and delegate work to support technicians, engineering support staff and peers. You will be utilizing Software skills in C#, LabView, Visual Basic, and possibly others You will be working in small teams with technicians and manufacturing engineers to address Expert On Call (EOC) tickets submitted by production. You will coordinate test equipment design reviews and ensuring the generation of appropriate design documentation You will review product designs and create test solutions that maximize test coverage in the manufacturing and service environments You will prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management and customers You will coordinate several projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules This position will be located in Cedar Rapids, but the candidate may be required to travel on occasion What YOU Will Learn: Learn and take advantage of opportunities to excel professionally with RTX's exceptional employee scholar programs and continuing education Learn to thrive and be supported in a dynamic team-driven environment Learn to become a champion within our CORE Operating Systems
