In your role as an Electrical Engineer, you will directly support implementation of non-standard instrumentation systems on U.S. Army aircraft in support of Redstone Test Center flight testing operations. Using your experience in electrical or electronics engineering, you will design and facilitate integration of instrumentation to meet flight test data requirements. • Work as part of a team of aerospace, structural, and electrical engineers and technicians. • Use your skills in electrical/electronic design and physics to design instrumentation systems to support flight testing. This includes creating electrical drawings and analysis, participating in instrumentation design review meetings, working with flight test engineers on meeting testing requirements, translating electrical design requirements to structural engineers, and working with technicians to ensure successful integration of the system on the aircraft. • Prepare documentation (drawings, analysis, presentations, etc.) for review that will serve as a guide for installation and removal of instrumentation systems. • Communicate with design teams and flight test teams to understand and influence requirements with the goal of optimizing current and future designs. • Troubleshoot issues that may arise in data collection.
