Our work produces, distributes, and applies precise time for the communications, aerospace/defense, IT infrastructure, and measurement industries. Our VOP group located in Mount Holly Springs, PA is a market leader specializing in Quartz Precision Oscillators and Frequency Control Solutions. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our quartz oscillator and crystal design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong education in mechanical engineering/design, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating cutting edge, high-quality oscillator and crystal products. This is an onsite position that will report to the Mount Holly Springs facility.

Requirements

  • US Person.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electronic technology.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal/mechanical stress analysis.
  • Self-driven to lead and complete projects within established commitment times.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with cross functional teams.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3).

Responsibilities

  • Utilize CAD tools to create, analyze and modify mechanical components and final assembly of crystals, oscillators and modules.
  • Perform thermal and mechanical analyses on designs to assure reliability as well as performance.
  • Support the mechanical portion of designs as they progress through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
  • Support production with the development and analysis of fixturing required for the assembly and testing of products.
  • Provide mechanical design support to cross functional team members from layout, supply chain, process engineering, reliability engineering, manufacturing, and quality engineering.

  • The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304-$143,000.
