Requirements

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Exhibits excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and deems safety an utmost priority
  • Action-oriented problem-solving approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • A minimum of two (2) years of engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: FE Certification
  • May be required to work overtime
  • Must be willing to travel between Williams locations up to 40-50% of the time with occasional overnight stays

Responsibilities

  • Performs a wide spectrum of assignments, requiring technical evaluation, innovation, and judgement while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Works with an increased level of independence but requires supervision on mid-sized projects/technical assignments supporting operations
  • Develops an understanding of industry and operational requirements
  • Demonstrates knowledge of safety requirements, produces results and meets goals
  • Applies knowledge of Company processes, policies, procedures, and guidelines established by organization and governing agencies
  • Assists with defining, organizing and aligning plant and facilities programs in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization; assists with the development of an evaluation method, using lead and lag metrics, to assess the health of the programs and identify areas for improvement
  • Supports continuous improvement to implement program improvements and initiatives in a consistent, resource and capital efficient way
  • Assists with level setting of risks within programs across the operating area
  • Completes life critical processes including MOCs, PSSRs, PHA, work planning, and Lockout/Tagout
  • Partners with teams including facility personnel to maintain and improve Overpressure Protection and PSM documentation and records
  • Collaborates on project teams for capital expansion and improvement projects at the facility
  • Leads and implements small-scale capital projects at the facility
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to individuals and groups
  • Other duties as assigned
