Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry, Auxiliary Power Units and Jet Engines would be highly desirable.
  • Previous Gas Turbine Compressor experience.
  • Experience with software and programming languages, proficient with MS Office, MS Excel, NX, Teamcenter and SAP.
  • The ability to craft clear communication and build positive relationships.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
  • Team oriented and cultural awareness.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude to understand the interactions of complex assemblies and how to translate those interactions into sound analytical assumptions.
  • May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis and disposition of quality non-conformances (QNs) for new parts.
  • Support supply chain activities by responding to Electronic Supplier Requests for Information (eSRI).
  • Develop Class II or Class I engineering change packages to improve quality, cost and producibility metrics.
  • Perform Computer Aid Design (CAD) geometry software functions to manipulate and create 2D geometries, 3D models and 3D assemblies to meet fit, form and functions requirements of parts and support engineering documentation.
  • Interpret and define tolerances and features in part drawings.
  • Develop and incorporate new ways to advance technology and improve processes as an individual and as a team contributor.
  • Embrace a continuous improvement philosophy.
  • Prepare and present status and technical content to Program Chief Engineers, APU management, Customers and Suppliers.
  • Producibility improvement investigations.
  • Develop and sustain a healthy work relationship based on mutual trust with peers, internal and external customers where significant interaction is expected.
  • Good communication skills and assertiveness are key qualities to possess.
