Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Nice To Haves

  • CAD drawing and modeling knowledge.
  • Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), weld types & symbols, fasteners/threads standards.
  • Experience with structural Finite Element Analysis.
  • Application of strength of materials theories and concepts including axial, shear, bending, torsion and combined stresses, buckling, stress concentration factors, deflections, stress-strain curves, material properties, factors of safety, etc.
  • Familiar with traditional (predictive) and/or Agile (adaptive) project management tools & techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Create assembly and disassembly equipment models and technical drawings using NX CAD software.
  • Apply engineering mechanics statics and strength of materials knowledge to perform structural analysis.
  • Create finite element models (FEM) and perform structural analysis (FEA) using Ansys Workbench.
  • Present in design review meetings.
  • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
