About The Position

The Industrial Engineer will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and efficiency across food manufacturing operations. This position involves leading engineering projects related to process optimization, equipment upgrades, and packaging system enhancements. The Industrial Engineer is responsible for maintaining strict adherence to all safety, food safety, facility audit, and GMP standards. The role requires a balance of hands-on field work (approximately 50%) and desk-based project management and analysis (approximately 50%).

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering, preferably within food or beverage manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering (or closely related field).
  • Strong background in packaging equipment design, installation, and optimization.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Excel, Word, and project management tools.
  • Solid knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Safety, and food safety regulatory compliance.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support production equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage and execute projects related to packaging systems, ensuring optimal design, material utilization, and efficiency.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other design tools to develop layouts, equipment drawings, and process flow diagrams.
  • Oversee contractor relationships and ensure project timelines, budgets, and specifications are met.
  • Track progress and performance through project management software and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity, safety, and product quality.
  • Participate in capital project planning and execution, including cost analysis and ROI evaluations.
  • Ensure full compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, and safety programs at all times.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action development for process or equipment-related issues.
  • Serve as a Document Engineer, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of engineering processes, equipment specifications, layouts, and change controls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Engineer or Engineering Manager.
