The Engineer Factory Innovation implements new packs, products, and raw materials by creating process specs and packaging running conditions to achieve all quality standards and deliver efficient operation on Mars Wrigley factory lines. Additionally, this role manages R&D line trials by coordinating requests with the site value stream, R&D, Engineering and Commercial to ensure optimal execution and knowledge capture. Additional responsibilities for this role include coaching and mentoring newer associates as well as acting as a regional expert in certain packaging or process technical areas. What are we looking for? Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a closely related scientific or technical disciplines or equivalent. Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP's), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Systems (HACCP), ISO, Regulatory Guidelines, Sensory, and/or Microbiology. Demonstrated success influencing/leading others Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related scientific or technical disciplines or equivalent with 3+ years’ experience in a closely related industry Experience in food packaging and/or processing, with an understanding of processes and machine operation Six Sigma Green Belt What will be your key responsibilities? Apply Six Sigma and Design for Vertical Startup tools to evaluate, risk assess and translate new packs, products, and raw materials to the factory.
