Engineer - Facilities and Site Services Lead Organization Overview: For 140 years, Lilly has manufactured medicines that improve people’s lives around the world. Responsibilities: The Engineer - Facilities and Site Services Lead is expected to bring key expertise, technical leadership, and knowledge in the areas of facility management, campus security, utilities, and site services. This individual will be responsible for the development and sustainment of technical systems, processes, programs, and best practices at the Concord site in their area of accountability. The Concord site is a 24x7 facility, and this role will own the Site Emergency Response as it pertains to facilities and infrastructure. The Engineer - Facilities and Site Services Lead will set up and manage contracts for facility management and site services required to support the Concord site, acting as the Lilly representative for local contractors and authorities in their area of accountability. This individual will provide oversight of third-party contractors managing both hard services and soft services across the site. Hard services include Utilities Operations and Maintenance, HVAC maintenance, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations support). Soft services include security, grounds and landscaping, cafeteria services, janitorial services, pest management, waste management, and mail services. This individual will be responsible for assuring site compliance with corporate standards and guidelines related to facility operations and site services. This individual will lead technical analysis and solution development through application of engineering principles, good engineering practices, project management skills, and direct interactions with site functional areas. Key Objectives/Deliverables: Act as Business Owner for facility management and site services operations at the Concord site. Ensure effective operational oversight and continuous improvement of facility infrastructure, utilities, security systems, and site services. Partner with HSE to assure site compliance with environmental permits and waste handling and disposal regulations. Partner with Corporate SMEs and Concord site functional areas to develop, establish, and sustain systems, processes, and programs for the Concord site in the areas of facility management and site services; ensure compliance with internal and external requirements and provide ongoing technical support. Be the focal point for site external contractors delivering hard and soft services. Coordinate and provide oversight for Lilly-contracted work within the area of accountability. Along with Procurement, establish and maintain working relationships with local suppliers and contractors for materials and services sourced locally within the area of accountability. Understand and support event investigations, CAPA, and change control processes as applicable to facility management and site services. Provide floor support related to facility management and site services, including oversight of external contractors, auditing, data collection, and trending. Own and coordinate the Site Emergency Response for facilities and infrastructure to support safe, continuous 24x7 operations.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or Equivalent Work Experience
  • 5 years of facilities or site services related experienc
