Start dates are determined after funding confirmation Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Engineer Database or Principal Engineer Database . As part of the NGAS Global Supply Chain Operations Performance team, the individual will be required to support a diverse array of tasks and projects within the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization. This position requires very good interpersonal skills, organization skills, and proficiency in various reporting systems. Knowledge of Supply Chain Management/Procurement concepts desired. This position can be based out of our Melbourne, FL locations. The Database Engineer creates data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets. Analysis may have many applications such as to address a business issue or provide a competitive advantage for the organization. In this role, the selected candidate will perform the following:

Requirements

Bachelors degree with 2 years of related experience in data analysis, and/or data pipelines and/or data transformation, and/or business analysts, and/or database engineers and/or computer scientist, and/or data scientist OR a Masters degree with 0 years of related experience data analysis, and/or data pipelines and/or data transformation, and/or business analysts, and/or database engineers and/or computer scientist, and/or data scientist
Knowledge of relational databases (i.e. MSSQL)
Proficient with writing Structure Query Language (SQL) scripts
Experience with writing Python scripts to automate data insertion/extraction (ETL)
Current & active DoD Secret clearance (to apply / start)
Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
Bachelors degree with 5 years of related experience in data analysis, and/or data pipelines and/or data transformation, and/or business analysts, and/ database engineers and/or computer scientist, and/or data scientist OR a Masters degree with 3 years of related experience in data analysis, and/or data pipelines and/or data transformation, and/or business analysts, and/or database engineers and/or computer scientist, and/or data scientist

Nice To Haves

Experience working directly with stakeholders
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines that use python and SQL
Knowledge of Data Visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Microsoft Power BI)
Knowledge of SAP HANA or FIORI
Experience with configuration management and version control tools such as JIRA, Git/Bitbucket
Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills
Active Special Access Program clearance
Knowledge of Supply Chain data and/or processes
