About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for the analysis and selection of components to assure the continuation of highly reliable products being manufactured by the Power group.

Requirements

Must have a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and a working knowledge with a variety of manufacturing processes.
Working knowledge of SAP a plus
Specific experience in component reliability requirements, process improvement techniques and problem solving techniques
Working knowledge of RoHS requirements
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly
Can organize multiple tasks and possesses strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
Close attention to detail, follow-up, with an extreme sense of urgency and perseverance
Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment, and provide timely and accurate follow up to inquires
Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision
Possesses a positive attitude

Responsibilities

Perform component analysis and selection as required
Evaluate alternative suppliers or components for cost reduction opportunities
Aid Purchasing or contract manufacturers in the case of component obsolescence or availability
Generate parts notices to add, delete components on Vertiv’s approved supplier list
Analyze components for RoHS requirements
Special projects related to component issues
Issue special required reports
Investigate component quality issues
Other duties as assigned
