Fuel your passion The CAD manager is responsible for the management of the CAD system with the aim of ensuring its availability and compliance with the needs of the engineering offices. It participates both in the maintenance of the system and in the development necessary for the proper functioning of the engineering office. As CAD manager, you will be responsible for, the mission of the CAD Manager is (evolving and non‑exhaustive list): Managing the CAD base used by the engineering offices: family tables, CAD models, symbols, automation, etc. Ensuring alignment between the CAD base and the ERP base. Bringing CAD expertise to the staff of the engineering offices (problem‑solving and training). Defining the documentation necessary to support CAD activities (training, procedures, etc.) and participating in updating engineering standards related to CAD. Participating in the integration of calculation tools / ITO tools into the CAD system. Participating in CAD standardization actions. Participating in continuous improvement and implementation of engineering standards. Participating in new product development by maintaining the adequacy of the CAD tool. Supporting the implementation of the CAD tool strategy (hardware, software, license support, etc.). Comparing, standardizing, and implementing good practices between the three engineering sites. Responsibilities, Authority & Autonomy: The CAD Manager is having the authority to define good CAD practices applicable to project execution and to implement the necessary procedures. The CAD Manager is defining in autonomy, with the IT department, the evolutions of the CAD system which are being submitted to the manager and engineering manager for approval. The CAD Manager is getting the team leaders, manager, or engineering manager to validate the changes related to the continuous improvement process of the engineering department. Internal / External Working Relationships: The CAD Manager is being under the management responsibility of the R&D Manager and is working with the following stakeholders to ensure efficient production in terms of cost, quality, and lead time: Engineering offices: France / UK / US Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, and Test Bench Sourcing Department Subcontractors and Suppliers Quality Department Sales and ITO Departments Information Technology Services (IT) To be successful in this role you will: Knowledge Have a good knowledge of Lufkin Gears and Allen Gears products. Have mastery of CAD techniques (Creo Parametric). Have knowledge of basic IT tools (MS Office Suite). Have technical skills related to the company’s products (machining, manufacturing, etc.). Know‑how Have the ability to analyze, use, and create various documents related to the function (specifications, drawings, databases, technical documents, etc.). Have the ability to understand manufacturing drawings and installation plans. Have mastery of CAD programming and automation. Interpersonal Skills Have timely and efficient organization of work. Have the ability to work independently or as part of a team and report on activities. Have the ability to adapt behaviour to different interlocutors (co‑workers, hierarchy, related services). Fuel your passion Le Référent CAO est responsable de la gestion et de la disponibilité des outils et environnements CAO afin de garantir leur conformité aux besoins du Bureau d’Études. Il est amené à contribuer à la maintenance des systèmes et est impliqué dans les développements nécessaires au bon fonctionnement du BE. En tant que Référent CAO, vous serez en train de : Gérer la base CAO utilisée par les bureaux d’études (tables de familles, modèles CAO, symboles, automatisation…). Assurer l’alignement entre la base CAO et la base ERP. Apporter votre expertise CAO aux équipes du BE (résolution de problèmes, support, formation). Définir et mettre à jour la documentation nécessaire liée aux activités CAO (instructions, procédures…) et participer à la mise à jour des standards du BE relatifs à la CAO. Participer à l’intégration des outils de calcul / outils ITO dans l’environnement CAO. Participer aux actions de standardisation d’items sous Creo. Contribuer à l’amélioration continue et à la mise en place des standards du BE. Participer au développement de nouveaux produits en maintenant l’adéquation des outils CAO aux besoins des conceptions. Supporter la mise en œuvre de la stratégie CAO (architecture hardware, versions logicielles, licences, support). Comparer, harmoniser et mettre en œuvre les bonnes pratiques entre les trois sites d’ingénierie. Responsabilités, Autorité & Autonomie Le Référent CAO a l’autorité de définir les bonnes pratiques CAO applicables aux projets ainsi que les procédures associées. Il est en train de définir, en autonomie avec le service informatique, les évolutions du système CAO, qu’il soumet ensuite à son manager et au Directeur BE pour approbation. Il fait valider par les responsables d’équipe, son manager ou le Directeur BE, les modifications émises dans le cadre du processus d’amélioration continue du BE. Relations de travail internes / externes Le Référent CAO est placé sous la responsabilité hiérarchique du Responsable R&D.
