About The Position

Under general supervision, performs a variety of custodial and repair tasks in the maintenance of buildings and facilities: performs other related work as required. This class differs from that of Laborer in that incumbents perform more difficult and more diverse maintenance tasks in addition to general labor duties.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school graduate or equivalent and at least one year of general building repair and maintenance, or the equivalent of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate with other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Class B Gaming License
Candidates for all positions must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Applicants must have a California I.D., a Social Security Card, and a Birth Certificate.

Nice To Haves

Certification – Carpenter/Woodworking certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

Performs basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical and painting tasks to maintain and repair the facility, such as replacing or adjusting plumbing fixtures, adjusting doors, repairing fixtures and furniture, replacing electrical fixtures, repairing electrical outlets, patching and painting interior and exterior walls, adjusting heating and ventilation systems, etc.
Performs routine manual tasks as requested, such as replacing air conditioning filters, assembling furniture and equipment, hanging pictures or shelves, changing light bulbs, etc.
Performs general custodial tasks not performed by Housekeeping, such as any cleaning inside the casino over 6’ in height, pressure cleaning of kitchen equipment, and exterior cleaning of casino grounds.
Recording and reporting any suspicious activity as defined by the Bank Secrecy Act (Title 31) and Feather falls Casino Internal control policy Suspicious Activity Compliance Program.
