Job Summary: Work as a member of a team responsible for turbine engine, engine module, or component maintenance in accordance with published work instructions and approved technical data. This is a 1st Shift position: Monday – Thursday 5:30 am – 4:00 pm

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years’ experience in mechanic role or appropriate technical training (ASE certification or military equivalent)

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years’ mechanic experience (aviation engine mechanic preferred)
  • Basic understanding of Disassembly, Assembly, Test (DAT)
  • Basic understanding of continuous improvement principles such as Lean Six Sigma or RTX's CORE Operating System
  • Engine overhaul and repair experience, GTF and/or F117, PW2000, in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly, Inspection, Assembly, Turbine Engine Test Operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP

Responsibilities

  • Utilize common hand tools as well as a wide variety of tooling and fixtures to perform disassembly/assembly of engines, engine modules and components
  • Ensure all phases of assembly/disassembly, as specified by work instructions, comply with required self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor and ensure processes meet Safety, Quality and Delivery objectives.
