Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Engine Installations/Auxiliary Power Unit Engineers (Associate or Experienced) to join our team in Everett, WA. The B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) is modernizing the B-52H airframe with a new underwing twin pod propulsion package featuring new F130 engines provided by Rolls-Royce. Our team will be retrofitting an airframe which conducted its first flight in 1952 and entered service in 1955. The CERP program is a collaboration between BCA and BDS that will enable the USAF to efficiently operate the B-52 through 2050. In addition to replacing the main engines, the CERP program is also adding two new APUs to the outboard struts to give the B-52 internal starting capability. The Auxiliary Starter Air Unit (ASAU) and Installation Analysis team is seeking qualified candidates to join our team as we complete the second phase of the program culminating with CDR in March 2026 and continuing through detail design, component testing, hardware build up, ASAU and main engine development testing, ultimately aircraft modification and flight testing. We're responsible for the detailed design, performance and safety analysis, test and certification of the ASAU and the ASAU's installation. Our team also leads the analysis, test and certification of the engine installation across a broad range of technical topics including engine fuel & oil systems, fire safety, in-flight restarting, component cooling, and accessory gear box integration. We also provide military certification technical support to the customer, the United States Air Force.
