The Engine and Power Systems Training Instructor is responsible for providing high quality customer experience to employees and customers by developing and conducting training programs on various Caterpillar applications, systems, and operations. WHAT YOU'LL DO Participates in needs analysis studies to determine training needs by employees, departments, and stores Confers with management to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies Formulates teaching outlines and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops Selects or develops training aids as well as testing and evaluation procedures to ensure learning and completion of training Conducts training sessions covering specified areas regarding on-the-job training, machine technology, machine application, apprenticeship programs, refresher trainings, etc. Tests trainees to measure progress and evaluate effectiveness of training Reports progress of employees to management Revises and/or updates training curriculum to fit current business needs to improve effectiveness Provide customers and Riggs employees with product, application, maintenance, and operation training Perform other duties as needed within the Training Department Assign and manage training curriculum for employees in Cat DPC Monitor and report on individual learning plan activities to employees, supervisors, and management Dealership Key point of contact for all Cat DPC related issues
