About The Position

J Street is seeking an undergraduate student, graduate student, or recent graduate as an Intern for the Summer with the potential to extend. This internship is an excellent opportunity to better understand and get involved in J Street’s work. This is an exciting opportunity to learn outreach, research and events skills as well as to deepen one’s knowledge of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This position is ideal for applicants interested in non-profit work, or political advocacy.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Alignment with J Street’s mission
  • Comfortable making phone calls
  • Proficiency with Google Applications and Microsoft Excel; experience with database management a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with outreach, and logistics for advocacy events
  • Updating and managing supporter databases
  • Researching potential new donors and supporters
  • Making phone calls / writing emails to supporters
  • Assisting with outreach to potential new activists
  • Writing acknowledgments, follow-up letters, and other business communications
  • Other tasks as needed
