We are looking for a talented individual… To join our team as an Energy Technician II. This is an entry-level position and training will be provided. You will travel throughout a defined territory in a company-provided vehicle to job sites and install energy efficiency measures to reduce consumer energy bills for various utility and weatherization programs. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to work under different weather conditions including extreme hot and cold weather
  • Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach often working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes for part of the workday
  • Use repetitive hand motion & use of basic hand and power tools
  • Use of a ladder at various heights (up to 3 stories)
  • Lift, carry or push up to 50 pounds as needed
  • This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.

Responsibilities

  • Install energy savings measures including attic insulation (batts and blown), caulking, lightbulbs, showerheads, baseboards, thermostats and electric water heaters
  • Perform minor repairs to include windows and doors
  • Assist with loading and unloading work trucks
  • Ensure measures installed are to program guidelines
  • Assist with keeping the job site organized and safe
  • Assist with customer site job set up and tear down
