As an Energy Systems Delivery Stream Engineering Intern, you will verify quality and technical requirements for projects, products, and service deliveries for Westinghouse. From bid phase and component design through manufacturing and delivery. Help evaluate new and existing suppliers by preparing customer communications, support management of multiple projects and reporting for opportunities related to AP1000 and other products within the APx portfolio. You will report to the APx WBS 1 Manager and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering or supply chain
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • No relocation assistance provided

Responsibilities

  • Support supplier identification
  • Support supplier technical evaluations
  • Support request for quotation (RFQ) package creation, including creation/revision of technical and procurement documentation
  • Support supplier proposal review and down-selection efforts
  • Support Kick-Off meetings and scheduled meetings with suppliers
  • Support PO execution by managing action lists, supplier schedule
  • Support coordination of Westinghouse participation (engineering, supplier performance, quality assurance) for execution of work
  • Support pre-job briefs and kick-off meetings for important/critical PO manufacturing activities
  • Support weekly reporting and Project Schedule Updates
