About The Position

2020 Companies is seeking a bilingual, enthusiastic, and results-driven Energy Sales Specialist to join their team. This role involves representing and promoting Reliant Energy services at retail locations, engaging with customers, and driving new enrollments. The ideal candidate should be energetic, persuasive, passionate, and able to thrive in fast-paced environments while helping customers find suitable energy solutions. The position offers an opportunity to build a career in energy sales with paid training, uncapped commissions, and clear paths to career growth. The specialist will sell products and services in retail stores, kiosks, and/or event environments, maintaining professional interaction with customers and colleagues. They are expected to meet or exceed personal sales goals, welcome customers, assess their needs, suggest products, provide information, and help customers make selections. Accurate documentation and reporting of sales activity are also required, along with maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish (able to read, write, and speak Spanish)
  • Strong experience in retail/event sales or event marketing
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Comfortable with physical task such as lifting, setup and teardown of events
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to event locations
  • Flexible availability needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six (6) months prior sales, retail, telecom or marketing experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of products and services
  • Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to maintain customer confidentiality

  • Direct customers by escorting them to displays; assess needs and suggests products to fit those needs
  • Advise customers by providing information on products and services
  • Help customers make selections by building customer confidence
  • Accurately document and report sales
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Responsible for accurately tracking and communicating all activity to Retail Operations
  • Ensure work station/kiosk is clean, well-organized, functional and presentable at all times
  • Responsible for submitting all paperwork completely and accurately
