About The Position

2020 Companies is seeking a bilingual, enthusiastic, and results-driven Energy Sales Specialist to represent and promote Reliant Energy services at retail locations, such as Walmart. This role involves engaging with customers, driving new enrollments, and helping them find suitable energy solutions to lower costs. The ideal candidate should be energetic, persuasive, passionate, and able to thrive in fast-paced environments. The position offers paid training, uncapped commissions, and clear paths for career growth within energy sales. It focuses on customer engagement and achieving sales goals without door-to-door, cold calling, or telemarketing.

Requirements

Must be fluent in both English and Spanish (able to read, write, and speak Spanish)
Strong experience in retail/event sales or event marketing
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, setup and teardown of events
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to event locations
Flexible availability needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
High school diploma or equivalent required
Six (6) months prior sales, retail, telecom or marketing experience
Demonstrated knowledge of products and services
Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment
Ability to maintain customer confidentiality

Promote Reliant electricity plans to consumers
Help customers lower energy costs in your community
Learn to identify needs and handle objections
Build strong relationships with customers and teammates
Work together to hit goals and celebrate wins
Sell products and services in a retail store, kiosk, and/or event environments
Maintain professional interaction with both customers and fellow employees
Meet or exceed personal sales goals on a monthly basis
Courteously welcome customers and offer assistance
Direct customers by escorting them to displays; assess needs and suggests products to fit those needs
Advise customers by providing information on products and services
Help customers make selections by building customer confidence
Accurately document and report sales
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Responsible for accurately tracking and communicating all activity to Retail Operations
Ensure work station/kiosk is clean, well-organized, functional and presentable at all times
Responsible for submitting all paperwork completely and accurately
