About The Position

The Leidos Civil Group is seeking an Energy Project Engineer with a background in energy policy, energy efficiency, water conservation efforts, energy and water consumption data analysis, and report writing to work on a full time basis supporting the Energy Management and Compliance (EMC) Program, Air Traffic Organization, Federal Aviation Administration, (FAA). The job also requires the selected individual to work with both Head Quarters Program Manager and Service Area Implementation Managers to input requirements, funding information, initiate and track projects, obtain facility information, baseline energy and water usage and review and evaluate that information for submission to the Department of Energy (DOE) Compliance Tracking System (CTS). The selected individual will work as a part of the team that: Benchmarks, monitors and analyzes water and energy usage of various FAA facilities Develops recommendations for projects that will reduce energy and water usage and cost in support of the EMC Program's mission. This includes supporting compliance measures and projects stemming from a variety of agency and federal energy mandates like EISA energy and water evaluation compliance. 5% Business Travel anticipated

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at 4 to 8 years of related work experience.
  • knowledge and experience with the following:
  • Reviewing utility billing histories from baselining facility energy consumption
  • Conducting energy and water evaluations for FAA Facilities.
  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders (written and verbal)
  • Working with minimal direction and supervision
  • Technical writing for compiling reports
  • MS Office applications for analysis, documentation and presentations

  • LEED Certification or any other Energy related certification
