About The Position

We are seeking a talented individual to join our US Energy & Power team at Marsh. This role can be based anywhere near a Marsh office, but preferably in Boston, New York, or Houston where our primary teams are located. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Energy & Power Associate Account Executive (AAE) serves as the primary advocate and day-to-day contact for a defined portfolio of energy and power clients within Marsh Risk. The AAE supports new and existing clients by building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships, managing key documentation and deadlines, and delivering timely, tailored solutions. The position is within the US Specialty Energy & Power team and will collaborate regularly with colleagues and industry stakeholders across North America and beyond. We will count on you to: Operate as the key day-to-day Marsh contact for assigned energy and power clients and serve as your clients’ primary advocate within Marsh Facilitate best in class client service by timely responding to client inquiries, resolving routine issues, and addressing moderately complex questions and/or identifying appropriate client team or other colleagues to provide a response Anticipate, identify, and triage client needs to improve the overall client experience and ensure compliance with Marsh policies, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements Manage annual renewal process and other key deliverables, in coordination with placement advisory teams, risk consulting colleagues, and other technical specialists, as appropriate Review relevant contract documentation (e.g., required insurance coverage), compare against coverage and, in consultation with client team, draft and issue broker certification letters Ensure achievement of critical client needs, including: evaluate risks, develop solutions, articulate impact of options, leverage prepared analytics, and make recommendations across product lines Cultivate a comprehensive and robust understanding of changing market conditions, coverage trends, and emerging industry risk areas and relevant solutions Build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally with colleagues, clients, carriers, and other industry stakeholders and centers of influence Contribute to relevant thought leadership and amplify industry insights to professional networks Support a broader industry network of US Energy & Power colleagues to build, maintain, and manage existing relationships with client teams, clients, prospects, and producers to drive growth and retention

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ of commercial P&C insurance coverage experience highly preferred, experience relevant to energy and power industries a plus
  • P&C license, or ability to obtain, required
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
