We want to hear from you! The Energy Portfolio Manager is responsible for driving growth and profitability across industrial and commercial energy accounts. This role blends strategic business development with strong customer relationship management to expand market share and maximize revenue. Key responsibilities include prospecting new clients, negotiating contracts, assessing credit risk, and delivering data-informed energy solutions. A solid understanding of natural gas and power markets , tariffs , and operational logistics is essential. This role is based out of our Eatontown, NJ office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of experience in energy sales preferred
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets, tariffs, and energy pricing structures.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new industrial and commercial energy accounts.
  • Expand market presence through proactive prospecting, networking, and competitive positioning.
  • Negotiate and execute customer contracts that align with company pricing strategies and profit goals.
  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio, ensuring retention and long-term value.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing dynamics, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal operations and trading teams to ensure seamless account setup and service delivery.
  • Monitor credit exposure and coordinate with finance to mitigate risk.
  • Provide timely, data-driven insights and exceptional service to clients.
