The Role As an Energy Performance Engineer, you will support efforts to predict and optimize EV range, fuel economy, and overall vehicle performance for advanced programs. Your work spans early modeling through support work in hardware validation and certification with the primary focus on analysis, virtual prediction, ensuring balanced solutions that meet technical and customer requirements. This role requires creativity, initiative, and cross-functional leadership to deliver integrated energy strategies in a rapidly evolving regulatory and technology landscape.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years of engineering experience
  • Knowledge and/or desire to learn current and advanced technologies (vehicle/propulsion) for fuel economy, electric range and drive quality
  • Written and verbal presentation skills in order to present complex concepts to peers and program teams clearly with recommendation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vehicle propulsion, engine calibration and hardware, or analytical modeling
  • Experience using Matlab & Simulink
  • Passion for sustainability

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize fuel economy / range, drive quality, and vehicle performance to vehicle technical and customer requirements
  • Complete analysis as required for program development, improvements in predictive capability, and hardware close loop learning with model correlation
  • Support technical peer reviews for vehicle and subsystem requirements
  • Proficient / familiar with global vehicle development process with project management skills
  • Takes advantage of all learning opportunities including competitive benchmarking
  • Proactively communicates effectively with all stakeholders
