For this role, we believe your starting point is: · Requires a Bachelor’s degree in any applicable field such as Mechanical Engineering or Sustainability and 3 years of related experience, or alternatively, a Master’s degree in same and 1 year of experience. Experience must include: · Conducting ASHRAE energy audits (Level 1-2); designing spreadsheet-based calculators for EEMs and performing EEM analysis; performing energy benchmarking and analysis using EnergyStar Portfolio Manager and EIA CBECS and RBECS datasets; evaluating sustainability drivers using the GHG Protocol; and working with higher education institutions on energy and sustainability planning through the AASHE STARS certification program

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigative energy assessments and audits to identify energy and cost savings measures.
  • Perform utility billing and interval data analysis, and energy benchmarking.
  • Develop custom spreadsheet calculators and analysis tools for energy efficiency measures (EEMs), and conduct spreadsheet analysis to estimate energy and cost savings of proposed EEMs.
  • Develop construction cost estimates for EEMs and determine economic results (e.g., life cycle cost analysis).
  • Utilize eQuest and EnergyPlus building energy simulation modeling software to assess the potential savings of EEMs in existing facilities and optimize energy performance of new construction and renovation projects.
  • Perform Measurement & Verification (M&V) activities including data analysis.
  • Support company design engineers and construction managers in implementing energy efficiency projects.
  • Participate in the development of Clean Energy Master Plans and Decarbonization plans.
  • Support building commissioning activities to ensure that all energy efficient systems are installed and operating correctly.
  • Summarize engineering analyses and results in written reports, planning documents, and presentations.
