About The Position

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused Assistant Manager to help lead our Energy Market operations. The Assistant Manager will support the Store Manager in daily store operations, staff supervision, inventory control, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
• 2+ years of retail, convenience store, or pro shop experience (1+ years in a supervisory role required).
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience with inventory tracking and ordering.
• Basic math and computer skills (POS systems, inventory management software).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Passion for customer service and team development.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift and move merchandise up to 40 lbs.
• Perform physical activities such as bending, reaching, and climbing ladders.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in sports or pro shop retail environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service and handle escalated customer concerns.
• Promote store products and upsell when appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
• Supervise, coach, and motivate staff to achieve performance goals.
• Open and close the store as scheduled.
• Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures.
• Assist with daily cash handling, bank deposits, and POS reconciliations.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming merchandise.
• Ensure shelves are stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
• Enforce health, safety, and loss prevention standards.
• Ensure all store operations comply with company and legal requirements.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager.
