ALCIVIA is growing and looking to add a full-time Energy & Fuel Territory Sales Specialist within our Evansville, WI sales territory. Local Sales Territory Coverage: Evansville, WI The sales territory coverage is approximately within a 90-minute drive from the main hub location of the sales territory. This position requires daily travel throughout the designated territory to effectively support customer needs and sales activities. Occasional travel may be necessary for quarterly sales meetings or other ALCIVIA-related events. Overnight travel is not typically required, except when attending scheduled meetings or company-sponsored functions. To ensure optimal territory coverage and responsiveness, the ideal candidate for this role will reside within the assigned sales territory. We are seeking an Energy & Fuel Sales Specialist to develop and maintain strong relationships with residential and commercial customers, driving sales of Cenex®-branded products and cooperative services. This role is responsible for partnering with the Sales team to strengthen relationships with producer members, identify and maximize point-of-sale opportunities, and provide exceptional customer service. The Energy & Fuel Sales Specialist will cultivate customer relationships that support sales of liquid propane (LP), fuel (gasoline and diesel) for on-road and off-road equipment, and a full range of lubricants, including engine oils, transmission fluids, hydraulic fluids, gear oils, and greases. Success in this position requires strong technical knowledge of energy products and services, as well as the ability to guide customers toward innovative, effective, and responsible solutions tailored to their needs.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Economics, Agribusiness, Sales, Ag Management, Agricultural Communication, or related field equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a sale, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the products and services within the assigned area of business.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • This position may require travel within the assigned territory.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds at any given time.
  • Comfortable working around Agronomy chemicals and fertilizers.
  • Working in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive and productive relationships with producer members and customers.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for producers, providing consistent and proactive support.
  • In collaboration with sales, engage with the customer to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Identify and capitalize on sale opportunities to drive product sales.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and market share within the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to execute promotional activities and sales initiatives.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing expert advice on products and services.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by offering timely and effective solutions to meet their needs.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the products and services offered, including their technical specifications, applications, and benefits.
  • Provide customers with detailed product knowledge and technical support as needed.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce innovative and responsible solutions that advance customers' operations.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their challenges and offer customized solutions that align with their goals.
  • Promote sustainable practices and products that contribute to the long-term success of customers and the company.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on product offerings and sales techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
