PSE's Energy Equity team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Energy Equity Program Manager position! Specific details regarding the work arrangements for this position will be discussed in further detail during the interview process.Job DescriptionThe Energy Equity Program Manager will participate in regulatory proceedings, respond to data requests, identify benchmarking metrics around energy equity. Independently develops and implements energy equity programs and provides strategic guidance to internal and external customers. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to facilitate business initiatives related to energy equity principles. Conducts strategic analysis and regulatory coordination to ensure compliance with evolving state and federal energy equity requirements. Leads comprehensive data analytics program to support energy equity objectives for named communities in PSE's customer population. Develops program processes and provides data metrics to guide PSE's incorporation of energy equity into business operations. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or other relevant field.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in an analytic role using data sources such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems), utility, and/or customer data research and analysis to drive equity decisionmaking.
  • Understanding of principles related to energy, environmental and/or social justice; diversity, equity and inclusion; sustainability; related fields.
  • Experience analyzing large data sets, integrating diverse data resources, and communicating findings effectively to a variety of executive audiences.
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to create effective partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and integration with other data sources.
  • Certification or other formal training in data analytics.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a regulated utility or in an organization primarily focused on energy equity.
  • Understanding of regional and state rules and regulations related to energy equity.
  • Experience in public policy, regulatory compliance, and/or regulatory policy development.
  • Project Management certification (accredited institution or PMI).

Responsibilities

  • Independently provides guidance to internal and external customers, in all elements of the energy equity program.
  • Develops and updates energy equity data program process, procedure and documentation.
  • Collaborates with internal and cross-functional teams to develop and execute energy equity principles.
  • Researches and prepares strategic analysis to ensure the company remains compliant with current state and other statutes, regulations and orders.
  • Provides regulatory strategy and coordination for state rulemaking proceedings and tariff filings.
  • Coordinates with compliance personnel to meet compliance standards and timelines in other departments.
  • Monitors and interprets federal, regional, and state regulations, orders and rules to stay informed of current and changing requirements.
  • Develops program in response to state regulatory and legislative proceedings in energy equity matters.
  • Initiates, leads, performs in-depth analysis, and provides recommendations, repeatable data compilations or dashboards to support complex business problems, energy equity objectives or ad-hoc requests.
  • Uses analytical tools and methods for data analysis to measure performance, identify issues, efficiency opportunities or areas of improvement.
  • Analyzes the current impact of benefits and burdens to named communities.
  • Provides support in business processes concerning energy equity.
  • Supports key performance and risk indicators as well as department and corporate goals.
  • Collaborates with other departments to prepare data analysis or dashboards for reporting, advisory work, regulatory filing, or other requests as identified.
  • Continually assesses and updates roadmap for energy equity data analytic program needs across team functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
