About The Position

The Energy Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and implementing energy systems and strategies to optimize energy efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize environmental impact across our health system facilities. Conduct detailed energy audits and prepare comprehensive reports with findings and recommendations. Monitor and analyze energy consumption and costs to develop budget-friendly solutions. Track utility usage and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Collaborate with employees, engineers, and project managers to develop sustainable energy systems. Design and implement energy-saving projects focusing on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy management systems. Assess and optimize operational and maintenance procedures to improve energy usage. Stay updated on developments in energy technology and legislation to ensure compliance and leverage cutting-edge technology. Submit data for regulatory compliance purposes and ensure adherence to relevant standards and regulations. Train staff in new systems and compliance procedures related to energy use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field REQUIRED
  • Experience in conducting energy audits and implementing energy-saving projects preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or LEED Accredited Professional are highly desirable
