About The Position

Kimley-Horn's Frisco, Texas (TX) office is seeking an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Natural Gas team. This is not a remote position. As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of civil engineering tasks, collaborate with team members and have the opportunity to supervise team members and manage projects. You will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship, camaraderie, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant engineering design experience
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • EIT License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Experience with design and permitting
  • Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks
  • Familiar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ability to build plan sets and other construction documents

  • Client Management, contractor coordination and project manager assistance
  • Complex problem solving and collaborate across disciplines
  • Pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope
