About The Position

Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Efficiency Engineer to join our growing team in Chicago, IL. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer with a strong background in engineering and a passion for energy efficiency. The Engineer will work with customers to implement energy-saving projects (e.g., upgrades to the facility's lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, compressed air, and/or process equipment systems) by quantifying and summarizing project savings, supporting project execution, and verifying installation. This role will support our work with energy efficiency programs in Northern Illinois. Resource Innovations (RI) is a women-led energy transformation firm focused on impact. Responsibilities

  • Review submissions of energy saving upgrade projects, including reports, savings calculations, and project documentation, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with program requirements.
  • Assist contractors and customers to select appropriate energy efficiency equipment that would qualify for equipment rebates from the utility.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality control for deliverables, demonstrating technical excellence, objectivity, and clarity while maintaining and advancing projects.
  • Communicates, coordinates, and assists project stakeholders and participants including program staff, contractors, and utility customers to help ensure customers are maximizing the benefits of utility programs.
  • Develop and update efficiency measures for the program and support other program enhancing improvements. Support may include completing economic analysis, collaborating with other functional groups, and/or developing calculations to quantify energy impacts of new program measures.
  • Conduct site visits to verify installation and operation of replacement energy efficient equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
