About The Position

As the Energy Control Management Vertical Sales Leader for Honeywell Process Automation (HPA), you will play a critical role in driving new business in the ECM vertical markets across USA and expand our market share in Power, Utilities and Battery Energy Storage. You will be responsible for implementing vertical strategies and plans to meet or beat sales targets and fostering strong customer relationships. You will report directly to Vertical Sales Leader- HPS USA and you’ll work out of our Houston, TX location. If you have experience with hiring and leading hunters and selling a broad range of Automation solutions including, PLC/DCS, Instrumentation, AI-enabled Software Solutions, BESS, System Integration and services, we would like to speak with you!

Requirements

  • 10+ years of transferable experience in sales/ new business development leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and achieving targets.
  • Strong technical background in automation, control & software in both process and discrete industries including Power & Utility, Battery Energy Storage, Nuclear.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Energy Control Management (ECM) business development team to drive business growth in the identified vertical and achieve order and new customer acquisition targets.
  • Hire and develop Staff to do hunting in identified vertical, including prospecting, evaluating opportunities, presenting appropriate solutions, building pipeline, and ultimately closing business.
  • Align with the Vertical Business Leader on strategies and develop execution plans to expand market share in the specific vertical market in USA.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners in the identified vertical.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders, including regional sales teams, lines of businesses, functions to convert the opportunities to orders.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions.
  • Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful support, channel and partner programs, as required.
  • Build and manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales Excellence to improve sales processes
  • Maintain CRM data quality
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time
