The Weatherization Auditor provides support to families and individuals receiving services provided via Panhandle Community Services through assessing homes for greater energy efficiency. The Weatherization Auditor is primarily responsible for performing energy audits, creating bid specifications for contract work, and ensuring the effective implementation, operation, and compliance of the Weatherization program. Essential Duties include conducting client intake and ensuring eligibility, assessing and inspecting homes according to TDHCA and DOE standards, inspecting homes for compliance and energy efficiency, performing natural gas analysis on appliances, performing final inspections, operating diagnostic tools, collecting dwelling inputs for energy audit software, overseeing and managing repairs and renovations, maintaining accurate files, performing data entry, retrieving information, preparing reports, answering client questions, acting as a liaison, assisting with compliance, executing program strategies, conducting research on funding and best practices, maintaining positive relationships, acting as a primary point of contact, conducting self ethically, and attending meetings. Other duties include maintaining knowledge of PCS standards, attending training, safely using tools, performing weatherization measures, installing insulation, sealing air ducts, applying materials to fill gaps, making minor repairs, and installing storm windows/doors.
