Your Team's Impact FactSet’s Deep Sector Oil & Gas team delivers critical fundamental analysis and sector-specific content to a diverse client base including investment banks, private equity firms, commodity traders, oil and gas producers, and midstream operators. We drive innovation and shape market-relevant analytics for current and future energy challenges, centered on the highest standards for insightful research and data products. What You'll Do As an Energy Analyst, you will monitor oil and gas market fundamentals, develop analytical models to forecast prices and trade flows, and contribute to our regular monthly and quarterly reports. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of dedicated market analysts and energy data specialists, taking on a variety of assignments aligned with your expertise and client needs. Our research team focuses heavily on North American natural gas markets, midstream infrastructure development, and liquefied natural gas trade flows. From upstream to downstream and everything in between, your primary objective will be to deliver timely and actionable insights FactSet users depend on.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience, including internships
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or R
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, working both independently and collaboratively
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future

  • GIS experience is a plus
