About The Position

The Endpoint Administrator I is primarily responsible for backend support of the enterprise endpoint management systems including Microsoft Intune and KACE SMA. They will collaborate with and provide training and support for these systems to MVB's IT support staff. This role focuses on device management, security compliance, and modern endpoint deployment technologies.

Requirements

  • Degree in technology-related field, engineering, business, or equivalent work or education related experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an information technology support role with focus on endpoint management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to all audiences.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Intune, including configuration, policy management, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of modern management technologies such as Windows Autopilot and Azure Active Directory/Entra ID integration.
  • In-depth knowledge of endpoint imaging processes and security best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and remediation.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, group management, and device integration.
  • Experience supporting Windows Update for Business (WUFB), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), or similar update management systems.
  • Experience supporting anti-virus management software and endpoint security
  • Candidates must reside in one of the following states: West Virginia, Virginia, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington D.C., New York, New Jersey, Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia, or South Dakota.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with KACE K1000/SMA or Quest Systems Management Appliance preferred.
  • Windows 11 enterprise deployment experience preferred.
  • BitLocker administration and key management experience preferred.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), MS-900 (Microsoft 365 Fundamentals), or similar preferred.
  • Experience with Conditional Access policies and Intune Security Baselines preferred.
  • Familiarity with Win32 app packaging and deployment (.intunewin) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage baseline system configurations for all corporate workstations, mobile devices, systems, and associated peripherals.
  • Implement and enforce Intune and KACE policies for device management, compliance, security, and application management including Conditional Access policies and Security Baselines.
  • Oversee the enrollment process of devices into Intune and KACE, including provisioning, registration, and configuration using modern deployment methods such as Windows Autopilot.
  • Manage BitLocker encryption deployment, key escrow, and recovery processes across the enterprise.
  • Deploy and manage Windows 11 upgrades and feature updates across the enterprise fleet using Windows Update for Business and Feature Update policies.
  • Create and maintain Proactive Remediation scripts to identify and resolve endpoint issues automatically.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of Intune and KACE configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure continuity.
  • Manage updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure system availability and security compliance.
  • Identify and respond to or resolve problems affecting system/device performance, efficiency, and availability.
  • Lead the charge to develop, test, and implement MVB's next generation desktop initiative at the direction of the Infrastructure Support Manager.
  • Work closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure the acquisition of required hardware compatibility and inventory levels is sufficient.
  • Update and maintain documentation and procedures for endpoint lifecycle including deployment, development, management, and decommissioning.
  • Collaborate with System Support Manager and IT Support staff to ensure coordination of resources to streamline workflows.
  • Collaborate with Application, Infrastructure, and Network Support Managers as well as Security Engineers to complete projects, implement process improvements and enhancements to IT Systems.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure Manager and Endpoint Administrators to verify and certify software package compliance.
  • Provide backup support to other administrators and Tier 2 support for Tier 1 support staff.
  • Deliver technical customer support over the phone and on-site; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of technical computer-related problems.
  • Assist with special projects and installations as needed.
