Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:

Responsible for assisting the medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for examination.
Assisting with procedures, performing specialty-related tests/monitoring, and monitoring sedated patients as needed.
Performs reprocessing and disinfecting of instruments.
Maintains a comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environment. Responds to emergency situations as directed.
May perform post-procedure duties including, assisting with post anesthesia recovery, providing information and education, and transporting patients.
Assisting with the overall delivery of patient care in the departments and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of previous Endoscopy Technician or Medical Assistant experience is strongly preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty GI experience is a plus!
• Epic experience is a plus!
