Requirements

  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire. ACLS/PALS, if not current, certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Requires degree or diploma from an accredited school of nursing with active registration from the board of nursing registration and nurse education, state of Oklahoma.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse.

Nice To Haves

  • One year experience in ICU, endoscopic, OR or PACU setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Charts in EHR, assist at bedside, and positions patients.
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients of all ages based on individual, specific patient needs and according to physician's orders.
  • Secures missing data and other patient care needs.Documents care appropriately and fully.
  • Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge in IV therapy, medication administration and effects, proper care of specimens, patient assessment, airway maintenance, arrhythmia detection and treatment, patient teaching, emotional/social support of patients and families and other needed clinical competencies.
  • Remains calm and functions as a team member during times of stress and crisis situations.
  • Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens.
  • Uses good body mechanics and aseptic technique.
  • Informs Clinical Manager of applicable day-to-day situations.
  • Follows employee health and other personnel and staffing policies.
