About The Position

The EPS is the "source of truth" for the project timeline. Unlike a passive scheduler who just enters data, this is a leadership and auditing role. You are responsible for ensuring the GC’s schedule is technically sound, realistic, and fully integrated with Google’s internal milestones from design through to final commissioning.

Requirements

  • P6 Expertise: You must be an expert in Primavera P6.
  • You must be comfortable "driving adherence" with GCs and giving "early warnings" to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional work environment, including preparing written reports and documentation, conveying information clearly to team members, clients, and stakeholders, and responding appropriately to verbal and written communications related to job duties.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots, is required.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.
  • For roles that require on-site presence or travel between work locations as an essential function of the position, candidates must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license appropriate for the role and be eligible to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with applicable laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Hyperscale/Data Center Experience: Ability to manage the IMS/MMS/PBS (Integrated/Master/Project) schedule concepts.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: High proficiency in tactical reporting (Narratives, Milestone reports, and Slipbug processes).

Responsibilities

  • Technical Mastery & Auditing (The "Police" Function)
  • Schedule Health: You aren't just looking at dates; you are auditing the "health" of the schedule using DCMA 14-Point assessments (checking for broken logic, excessive leads/lags, and unrealistic constraints).
  • Baseline Management: You own the process of reviewing and "signing off" on the GC’s baseline to ensure it meets strict contract specifications.
  • Proactive Risk Mitigation (The "Early Warning System")
  • Critical Path Analysis: You must identify not only the Critical Path but also the Near-Critical Paths and periods of "peak resource consumption" (where the project is most at risk of slowing down).
  • Trend Analysis: You perform independent bi-weekly forecasts to predict delays before they happen and propose recovery/mitigation plans.
  • "What-If" Scenarios: You support Supply Scenario Analysis (SSA) to model how changes in material delivery or labor might impact the finish date.
  • Cross-Functional Integration
  • End-to-End Scope: You ensure the schedule includes more than just "sticks and bricks"—it must capture design, funding (fEP), Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE), and the complex Commissioning (Cx) phases.
  • The Bridge: You facilitate interactive planning sessions between the GC, Project Managers, and Google’s internal teams to ensure everyone is aligned on the same dates.
  • Performance & Financial Reporting
  • Earned Value Management (EVM): You use the schedule to measure "work-in-place" to help estimate monthly pay applications and cash flow.
  • Field Verification: You don’t just sit behind a desk; you perform field walks to verify that the progress the GC claims on paper actually matches what is happening on-site.

Benefits

  • We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
  • There will be a daily per diem (7 days a week) to help with food and lodging.
