About The Position

The Enclosure Builder position focuses on the fabrication and welding of large, custom-built enclosures and structural assemblies. Work is project-based and requires strong blueprint interpretation, layout, fitting, and precision welding skills.Unlike high-volume production environments, this role involves varied, hands-on fabrication where attention to detail and craftsmanship are critical.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on welding or fabrication experience (5+ years preferred)
• Strong MIG welding experience in a fabrication or custom-build environment
• Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints
• Experience measuring, pulling dimensions, and working to tolerance
• Comfortable performing layout, fitting, and assembly work
• Proficient with common fabrication and shop tools
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must be comfortable in a fabrication-heavy environment
• Must be open to contract-to-hire structure

Nice To Haves

• TIG welding experience
• Experience building enclosures, frames, or large assemblies
• Forklift or overhead crane experience (certifications are a plus)
• Background in OEM, custom equipment, or engineered manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

• Performing MIG welding on sheet metal and structural steel components
• Reading and interpreting detailed mechanical blueprints
• Measuring, cutting, and fitting materials to specification
• Fabricating and assembling enclosure frames and panels
• Ensuring dimensional accuracy and structural integrity
• Using power tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
• Working with measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
• Supporting general fabrication and mechanical assembly tasks
