We are looking for an Enamel Cell Operator (Floor Helper Back 40) to join our team in Enamel Shop. We offer a diverse array of growth opportunities within our Foundry and Enamel Operations. This position will be based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location. We specialize in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products. Position is in the Enamel Shop. Working from a daily schedule, the ground coat material handler picks up ware from the casting finishing storage area and trucks skids of castings to the proper staging area in ground coat.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship.
- Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical Capability: Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation including but not limited to bending, lifting, and pushing weight.
- Screening: Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and work performance.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1+ year of manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Recording material movements accurately with a scanning device.
- Loading skids on the ground coat lines for spraying.
- Returning empty pallets and defective castings to proper areas in casting finishing.
- Communicating with supervision to help ensure that ground coat has materials to meet daily production requirements.
- Must learn enamel shop part numbers.
- Ability to operate a forklift is required.
- Lifting requirements are up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
