The Emergency Medical Technician renders basic life support of the highest quality, compassion and dignity, while providing patients transportation in the pre-hospital and inter-facility settings. This role functions as a member of the health care team in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures, providing care to patients ranging in age from neonatal through geriatric.
Requirements
- Current and valid New Jersey Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification
- Pennsylvania or New York Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification or NREMT accepted but must obtain New Jersey Certification within 12 months of hire
- Current and valid Healthcare Provider – BLS CPR card
- Obtain PHTLS or ITLS or TCCC certification within 90 days of hire date.
- Valid Driver’s License
- CEVO certification – must obtain within 3 months of hire and renew in 3 year period
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Must have a good driving record
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an EMT is preferred
