About The Position
Saint Clare's Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join its award-winning team. As a member of Prime Healthcare, Saint Clare's Health is committed to quality, compassion, and community, serving Morris, Warren, and Sussex counties. The EMT will provide basic life support of the highest quality, compassion, and dignity, while transporting patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings. This role functions as a member of the healthcare team, adhering to established hospital policies and procedures, and provides care to patients across all age ranges, from neonatal through geriatric.
Requirements
- Current and valid New Jersey Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification
- Pennsylvania or New York Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification or NREMT accepted but must obtain New Jersey Certification within 12 months of hire
- Current and valid Healthcare Provider – BLS CPR card
- Obtain PHTLS or ITLS or TCCC certification within 90 days of hire date.
- Valid Driver’s License
- CEVO certification – must obtain within 3 months of hire and renew in 3 year period
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Must have a good driving record
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an EMT is preferred
Responsibilities
- Renders basic life support of the highest quality, compassion and dignity, while providing patients transportation in the pre- hospital and inter-facility settings.
- Functions as a member of the health care team in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
- Provides care to patients ranging in age from neonatal through geriatric.
