Job Description
As a Security Officer EMT Patrol in Columbus, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset as you support a reliable, agile, and innovative operation.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have an EMT certification.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to identify unusual activity and/or hazards; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and verify identification and/or authorization for employees, contractors, and deliveries; direct visitors to sign-in requirements and designated areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site contacts and documenting actions taken.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs; communicate observations and updates to oncoming personnel and/or site leadership.
