About The Position

The EMS Clinical Division Chief oversees EMS clinical activities, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining compliance with medical protocols. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Develop and update clinical protocols in coordination with the EMS Medical Director Oversee the clinical credentialing process for EMS providers to ensure competency and adherence to established standards. Manage EMS education programs, including initial training, continuing education, and skills validation or EMS personnel. Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements related to EMS clinical operations. Assist in budgetary planning and forecasting for clinical education, credentialing, and skill validation initiatives. Research emerging trends in EMS clinical care and recommend changes to protocols, procedures, and training programs. Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values. Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public. General Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is a not-for-profit, 190-licensed bed medical facility serving the health needs of more than 65,000 residents of Hutchinson, Reno County and the surrounding Central Kansas region. Our broad network of health care services extends deep into the community with Health-E-Quip, a home medical equipment supply store; Horizons Mental Health Center, a mental health services provider for surrounding counties; Hospice & HomeCare of Reno County, a medical and emotional support system for patients and their families in the final phase of a terminal illness or those needing home health care services for acute and chronic illness needs; and Sleep Diagnostic Center, a monitored sleep lab that identifies sleep disorders. Requirements

Associates degree
Seven years’ experience in EMS and five years field experience as a paramedic
Current Paramedic certification with the Kansas Board of EMS
Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first.
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Valid Kansas Driver’s License
Incident Command System 100, 200, 300, 700 & 800 within two years of employment

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Five years of leadership/supervisory experience.
ASLS – Advanced Stroke Life Support
NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program
Effective leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to evaluate medical protocols and procedures for efficiency and thoroughness.
