Get to Know Your Team: UT Health East Texas EMS/AIR 1 has more than 65 ambulances, three active helicopters and one helicopter in reserve strategically located across the region and emergency teams provide rapid access to care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer with window software applications.
  • Attention to detail ensuring compliance with labor laws and fatigue rules.
  • Collaborating with manager and employee to resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in workforce scheduling, timekeeping, or HRIS systems.
  • Prior experience in platforms such as UKG Dimensions, UKG Ready, or UKG Pro WFM is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • The EMS Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and maintaining system-wide scheduling for full-time, swing, and PRN personnel.
  • This role ensures optimal shift coverage by managing schedule revisions and filling open shifts resulting from illness, injury, vacation, holidays, continuing education, personal time off, or administrative leave.
  • The Scheduler plays a key role in maintaining operational readiness by determining daily and long-term coverage requirements and managing the efficient use of unit hours.
  • The EMS Scheduler is accountable for completing all assigned payroll responsibilities for each pay period, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with leadership and field staff to support workforce needs and compliance with staffing policies.
