About The Position

As an Employment Support Manager at Rock Creek, you are responsible for overseeing and advancing employment programs within both the Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Health Departments. This role includes hiring, training, and supervising staff; monitoring performance; ensuring billing accuracy and compliance; and supporting program growth and expansion. The Interdepartmental Employment Supports Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining a strong, effective employment programs that supports individuals with disabilities and mental illness in obtaining and sustaining meaningful employment, exploring higher education opportunities, and identifying jobs aligned with their skills, interests, and goals. Collaboration with the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) and the delivery of pre-employment training are also essential components of this position.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Must have proof of car insurance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Human Services, business Administration) or equivalent experience.
  • Must be Able to take and pass CPRP certification.
  • Proven experience in managing employment programs, preferably in the developmental disabilities or behavioral health field.
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid regulatory requirements, DDA waivers and changes.
  • Knowledge of employment-related services, including pre-employment tasks, training, and career development.
  • Experience in hiring, training, and managing staff members.
  • Familiarity with billing requirements and compliance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to oversee multiple programs and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Detail- oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of higher education interests and career advancements opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure the successful creation and implementation of employment programs for the Developmental Disabilities Department and the Behavioral Health Department.
  • Stay updated on Medicaid regulatory requirements, CARF, DDA, BHA, DDA waivers, and any changes that may impact these employment programs within the regulatory requirements.
  • Hire, train, and manage staff members involved in the employment programs.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with billing requirements and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) to maximize employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.
  • Assist individuals in exploring their employment interests and matching them with suitable job opportunities.
  • Provide pre-employment tasks and training, such as resume writing, dressing for success, and interview skills.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers to create employment opportunities for program participants.
  • Work closely with the Developmental Disabilities Department, Behavioral Health Department, and other relevant departments to coordinate and align employment programs with the overall organizational goals.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of the employment programs to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Develop strategies to expand and enhance the employment program, including exploring higher education interests and career advancement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs in the employment sector.
  • Stay updated on best practices and industry trends related to employment programs for individuals with disabilities.
  • Serve as a working manager by maintaining an active caseload, providing direct employment services including intake, vocational assessments, job coaching, job development, and ongoing follow‑along support—to model best practices and ensure program needs are met.
  • Attend state and County Coordination and provider meetings.
  • Coordinate and be the liaison between RCF for contracts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
