About The Position

KCARC is seeking highly motivated individuals for our Employment Specialist role. This is a full-time position. Hours are primarily Monday – Friday with occasional weekends/evenings required.
The Employment Specialist is responsible for the coordination and supervision of community employment services. This position works with local businesses to develop employment opportunities, and coordinate placement, training, and ongoing support as necessary to maintain individuals with disabilities in competitive employment.

Requirements

• Experience in job coaching, training and employee development.
• Experience in report or documentation
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Creativity
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well with people.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Responsibilities

• Coordination and supervision of community employment services
• Work with local businesses to develop employment opportunities
• Coordinate placement, training, and ongoing support as necessary to maintain individuals with disabilities in competitive employment.
