About The Position

The Employment Specialist – ICTS expands vocational opportunities for individuals living with psychiatric disabilities through individualized, community-based, and integrated employment support. As part of a collaborative care team, this role partners with individuals to identify strengths, pursue competitive employment, and sustain long-term success in the workforce. Your work directly supports recovery, independence, and overall wellness in the rural communities we proudly serve. Requirements

  • High School/GED required
  • At least six (6) months of professional experience in supported employment, mental health, public health, environmental health, education, social services, adult corrections, probation and parole, public administration, business administration, or a closely-related area required
  • A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Class E MO driver’s license by the end of the 60-day introductory period required
  • Must qualify for position based on overall CSS requirements in at least one of the options listed: Qualified addiction professional; Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from a college or university included in the U.S. Department of Education’s database of accredited schools at http:/ope.ed.gov/accreditation Any four-year degree or combination of higher education and qualifying experience; Four years of qualifying experience; or Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree as designated by the department.
  • Qualifying experience must include delivery of service to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities.
  • Certified Peer Specialist required (if HS/GED is highest education level obtained and applicant has less than four (4) years of professional experience)

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in choosing, obtaining, and maintaining competitive employment
  • Identify, develop, and document community-based employment opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), and community stakeholders
  • Monitor and measure employer and individual satisfaction at least semi-annually
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation in accordance with agency policy
  • Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and huddles
  • Complete ongoing professional development and training requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
