About The Position

Favarh is seeking a proactive, creative, and energetic Employment Services Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our Employment Services programs in Canton. This role works closely with the Employment Services Manager to ensure effective program delivery, staff coordination, and meaningful opportunities that promote independence and community engagement for individuals served. The Employment Services Assistant Manager plays a key leadership role in staff support, transportation coordination, community outings, documentation oversight, and maintaining compliance with state and agency standards. Flexibility across Employment Program locations is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 1–2 years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree with three (3) years of experience in Human Services (Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
  • Valid Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Stand and/or walk 4–6 hours; sit 1–3 hours
  • Ability to drive for extended periods
  • Lift up to 75 pounds
  • Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, and reaching
  • Use hands for fine manipulation and operate foot controls
  • Work occurs in program sites, community settings, and office environments
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

  • Familiarity with Relias, Therap, and person-centered planning preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational support to the Employment Services Manager
  • Ensure active treatment and incidental teaching occur throughout the day
  • Coordinate transportation, staffing coverage, and daily program schedules
  • Prepare and distribute monthly calendars for in-house and community activities
  • Identify volunteer opportunities and develop innovative programming
  • Support staff with project assignments and implementation of special events
  • Provide support across all Employment Programs as needed
  • Complete daily staffing assignments and adjust as required
  • Audit staff training completion in Relias and provide follow-up support
  • Support positive reinforcement strategies and team-building initiatives
  • Assist with disciplinary procedures in accordance with agency policy
  • Audit Therap documentation daily, including ISPs, T-Logs, and GERs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant and staff records
  • Complete Individual Progress Reviews and Level of Need (LON) updates
  • Attend Individual Plan (IP) meetings and ensure timely documentation
  • Ensure compliance with DDS quality indicators
  • Support Quality Assurance and Health & Safety initiatives
  • Maintain a caseload of program management responsibilities
  • Support department managers as assigned by leadership
  • Assist with system improvements and implementation with leadership approval
